The Valley Brook Barracudas Summer Swim team is looking to fill assistant coach positions (paid) and junior coach positions (volunteer) for the 2026 swim season.

The season is roughly six weeks long, beginning in early June and lasting through mid-July. We are looking for candidates with experience swimming on a competitive team and who want to help teach other youth how to be successful in a summer swim program.

Expectations:

Support the head coach in planning and running daily practices and dryland sessions

Provide constructive feedback to swimmers at practice and meets.

Supervise swimmers to ensure safety at all times

Encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, and a positive team environment

Assist with organizing and managing swim meets (relays, lineups)

Communicate effectively with swimmers, parents, and coaching staff

Motivate swimmers of all skill levels to improve and stay engaged

Enforce team rules and expectations consistently

Serve as a positive role model both in and out of the pool

Junior coaches- willingness to assist beginner swimmers in the water during practices and meets
